Though this is nothing out of the ordinary for Dexter, something about this murder frightens the Dark Passenger into silence, leaving Dexter on his own. As a series of similar murders takes place, a mysterious cult begins stalking Dexter, believing his "Dark Passenger" to be a threat to them based on their mythology.
Soon after the first bodies are discovered, the Dark Passenger leaves Dexter's mind, making Dexter disoriented and confused. Dexter soon begins to question the dark voice that had been with him his entire life and begins to slowly realize that his Dark Passenger was a true entity unto itself.

He also told her that a girl, around the age of nine, had been found wandering the streets nude and oblivious to world around. Melanie's mother told the officer to take her immediately to the place where she was after they were finished at the house. While there Melanie's mother identified her brutalized husband and toured the house until she came to the Gray Room. This room was filled with a sensory deprivation chamber, an electric chair, and other forms of torture. After the house, Laura went to the place where Melanie was and was reunited with her. One thing was wrong though, Melanie was in an autistic, almost catatonic state. From there, Laura, Dan, Melanie and a bodygaurd named Earl, search for the truth behind Melanie's lost past. Along the way, they are being chased by an invisible creature that has been committing all of these murders. They soon find that the answers to this troubling mystery lies within the unknown Door to December.

The first sets the stage for the reading of the eponymous notebook, while the later one takes the characters into the land beyond happily ever after, a future rarely examined in books of this nature.

Early on, Noah claims that theirs may be either a tragedy or a love story, depending on the perspective. Ultimately, the judgment is up to readers be they cynics or romantics. For the latter, this will be a weeper.

Vocabulary of the textbook is more than 1000 words and expressions.
Grammar: narrative and question the proposal, the imperative, the use of articles, personal and possessive pronouns, weak, strong and irregular verbs, separate and neotdelyaemye prefix verbs, modal verbs and their conjugations, prepositions, the dative and managed accusative, numerals, the system time - Präsens, Präteritum, Perfekt, Futur I, declination of adjectives degrees of comparison adjectives, simple past tense of modal verbs, clauses, coordinate conjunction, and their influence on word order, reflexive verbs, control verbs.
Course teaches: to greet and say goodbye to each other, to describe people and objects, talk about their profession, the country, to share impressions about heard and seen, to express requests and suggestions and respond to them, have hearing dialogues on the topics to be passed; read adapted texts; comparing people and things, talk about various activities to talk about the momentous events, to discuss plans for the future.
