Collins is two-time United States Poet Laureate and the best selling poet around. Don't let the title fool you--this is not macabre literature.

Most people don't read much poetry, and neither do I, unless it has been written by Billy Collins.

You can actually understand the poems Collins writes without straining your brain. He addresses everyday things in interesting ways, sometimes humorously. (When was the last time you read a funny poem since elementary school)?

Grab any book of his to get started. "Sailing Alone Around the Room" is my favorite, but I haven't been able read "Horoscopes for the Dead" yet. Hence the request.
