It is useful to note that licenses can only be installed in the following eDirectory objects:
   -Organization [O]
   -Organizational Unit [OU]
   -Locality [L]
   -Country [CO]

Additionally, when determining where in your tree structure to insert your license file, it is useful to note how NetWare locates a license.  During the search for an available license, NetWare starts at the location of its Server object and moves up in the tree.  It will not use a license file not found within its immediate context tree.  For example:

SERVER1 is located in the directory at CN=SERVER1.OU=Systems.O=MyCompany.T=MyTree

When SERVER1 attempts to locate and consume an available license, it will look for a license installed in the following containers:
OU=Systems.O=MyCompany.T=MyTree
O=MyCompany.T=MyTree

It will not consume a license located at OU=SubSystems.OU=Systems.O=MyCompany.T=MyTree because this location is below SERVER1 in the directory tree.
Additionally, it will not consume a license located at OU=Accounting.O=MyCompany.T=MyTree because this license file is located parallel to SERVER1, not vertically above.


Finally, if you have already installed your NetWare server and wish to add this license to your organization, you may inject the 301775943.nlf file into your eDirectory tree using iManage.
