Transfering Files From PC -> PS3

Follow These Steps To Get Files From Your PC Onto Your PS3

Note: Depending on what type of media you are putting on your PS3, you may need to start at a different step.

Music: Start at step 17.
Photos: Start at Step 17.
Videos: Start at Step 1.

1. Download and install this program:
http://www.x45.info/?ZhukF

2. Convert the video to one of the formats. (MPEG 2 or MPEG 4)

3. Download and install this program:
http://www.x45.info/?hCRCt

4. Open my computer.

5. Double click on Local Disk (C:\

6. Double click on Documents and Settings.

7. Right click on a blank spot and create a new folder.

8. Name it PS3.

9. Open up my computer in a different window.

10. Double click on Local Disk (C:\

11. Double click on Program Files.

12. Find and open the folder called Red Kawa.

13. Open the Video Converter folder.

14. Open the Videos Folder.

15. Open the PS3 Folder.

16. Open the folder that has the movie you converted. (It will depend on what you converted it to.)

17. Click and drag the movie to the other window and place it in the PS3 folder you created.

18. Open the PS3 Media Center X.

19. Find the IP numbers on the second line of the program.

20. Type it exactly like you see it in the PS3's web browser. (Make sure you leave the program running on your computer.)

21. Click on My Files.

22. Click on C:\

23. Click on Documents and Settings.

24. Click on PS3.

25. Click on the file you would like to download.

E. Troubleshooting

Problems Transfering Large Files Using Red Kawa

1.Go to C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\File Server\core
2. In this "core" folder make another folder called "files".
3. Dump your large videos in there.
4. Then, on your PS3's browser go to: http://:8192/files
5. You must type that address directly, if you browse to the folder, it will NOT work.
6. And Voila, problem solved.

By the way, expect some weird behavior from your PS3 when doing this. It will not know the size of the file, and you will not see how much % of the file have been downloaded. But trust me, the file will download.

Note: Please DO NOT ask about ripping DVDs, downloading free music, or downloading free movies. It is against the Official Rules of Conduct.:egor:
